1995               1995 was the year we became truly independent as  we were  able to outsource our raw materials. This  enabled  us to expand  our range  of  fabric for  vertical  blinds  and  more  diverse  colours for  the Venetian Blinds slats.

 

1996                In 1996, based on  the encouraging market demand, we started  to  produce. Wooden Venetian Blinds. Although this product constituted a small percentage in the market segment, we were able to raise our  portfolio amongst the architect and designer firms. It was also well   received  by our dealers, contractors  and evidently the end consumers. As we were one of the few to manufacture this product, we are  able  to  supply  to  other blind manufacturers.

1997                In 1997 with our company expansion, we shifted our production  to  a  bigger  premises.  With  a   bigger space, we were able to streamline our production by employing more machineries and hiring new staff.

1998                1998   Was the year when the Malaysian and the region's economy were  in  the  downturn. Despite this, we were  able  to foray into the DIY Market. This required us to increase production and introduced unique packaging for supplies  to hypermarket (i.e. Makro, Carrefour, Giant) and other retail outlets

2000                In 2000, the market demand shifted from conventional blinds to the modern Roller Blinds We were not satisfied with merely producing but paid utmost attention to varied  fabric selection and  quality. The integral  component of any Roller Blind is the system and we are proud to be the first manufacturer in Malaysia to introduce 3 different  types. ( M5,  M7,   M11 ).

2002                2002 Was the year we introduced and eventually commercialized the PVC Vertical Blinds. This hygienic, durable and heat reflective blinds  is perfectly suited for the tropical climate of Malaysia. This addition established ourselves as one of the manufacturer with the most complete range of product

2003                During  2003  Moonlight  Industries  expanded  its operations nationwide by setting up manufacturing, assembly  plants  and  sales office throughout west  Malaysia.  By  the  further  development  of existing products  and  by  introducing  new products  for its Window  Covering  business,  Moonlight  Industries Sdn Bhd  strives to remain competitive in the Window Covering  Industry. This will also ensure we  remain ahead of its competitors.

2004                In 2004, we expanded our operation to East Malaysia with the setting up of a manufacturing plant in Miri, Sarawak. This effectively increases our production capabilities while at the same time extended our marketing arm. In the same  year, we successfully launched and marketed the motorised system for Roller, Vertical and Venetian Blinds when we started a dedicated assembly line for this purpose. We are proud to say that our company is the leader in the motorised version of window covering products. The year also saw the introduction of Micro Venetian Blinds production with the full support of Luxaflex, the world's biggest blind manufacturer.

2005                2005 saw further development of our existing range of products with the introduction of the Roller Blind fabric tension system, the boxed up system and other accessories (e.g. head rail, pelmet, side guide, various bottom rail ). We were also the first to introduce jute fabric for Roller Blinds. The year 2005 also ended with yet another premise expansion, when we shifted our administration and marketing department to a more modern, comfortable working environment

2006                 The year ahead will see further expansion of Moonlight Industries Sdn Bhd as we strive to remain competitive in the window covering industry. We will continue to introduce new products to the market (e.g. pleated & panel blinds) while further improving the existing range. With the support of our network of dealers, architects, designer & contractor firms coupled with the support of our trading partners such as Somfy, Luxaflex, Alkenz etc, we believe Moonlight Industries Sdn Bhd will continue to grow, provide quality products and better service to all.
